The GCC Blog highlights partnerships and programs to serve as inspiration for your campus and community.
This entry introduces the Mumbai Global Internship Program developed and delivered in collaboration with University of Auckland. The program is supported by the Prime Minister’s Scholarship.
The Prime Minister's Scholarships are funded by the New Zealand Government and administered through Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao to support New Zealanders on learning experiences in Asia and Latin America.
During the program, students complete their six week internship with a local organization while supported through professional development and cultural exploration.
Student interns are contributing to the work of host organizations across a range of areas including education, public policy, health care, philanthropy, human resources, and microfinancing. Placements include Aashta Parivar, K Corp Charitable Foundation, NOCPL India, SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Healthcare), United Way India, and URJA Trust.
The photo here spotlights food and meals during orientation. Watch this space for updates on program activities such as learning Bollywood dance and connecting with local students as well as being hosted at a consulate reception.
We look forward to sharing updates and welcome conversation.
